 The Yolo County Hermit is here to bring random things into the light. These things could be sweet, weird, musical, visual, audible or whatever. This one is sweet.

The Compassion Bench is a colorful mosaic public art sculpture located at the corner of 3rd and C Streets in downtown Davis, California. Also known as the "Compassion Corner Earthbench," it was inspired by local resident David Breaux, who spent years asking passersby to share their definition of compassion. David is gone now, but forever remembered here in Davis. He had a good heart.

INCA ART

This female figurine is made of hammered metal sheet and is analogous to other Inca miniature figurines often ritually deposited and considered sacred entities, or huacas, a Quechua and Aymara term. This figurine shows a woman standing with arms and hands pulled toward the chest. Her eyes are almond-shaped and her mouth is closed.
