Will Rogers. John Mayall. A random goat.

THE YOLO COUNTY HERMIT

Bringing you random crap for no apparent reason at all. I am your suburban hermit, James. I'm old, but tall.

McCoy Tyner on piano. The ears of Don Mossi. A random cow.

 THE YOLO COUNTY HERMIT
Celebrate a few random items daily.
Let's be clear; Don Mossi is not the Yolo County Hermit. I am. But Don was a decent southpaw pitcher and his ears, though large, were flexible and on windy days made a slight whistling sound. And hearing? Don Mossi could hear a fly fart at 20 paces. (Do you know how to tell when a fly farts? It speeds up for a second.) Don is today's Random Ball Player.

Everyone is the same kind of nasty.

 THE YOLO COUNTY HERMIT

Orson Aziel Jobe, Pigtown in Baltimore, MD 1909-1994

Orson loved that chicken and it loved him. They went around together. And Orson loved mixing hashish in his Virginia tobacco. Living in a harbor city made it easy to get the hashish. Hell, you can walk to the Baltimore docks from Pigtown. Oh, yes; the chicken's name was Looradelle.

And this Orson after 75 or 80 years of smoking those hand-rolled blunts. As you can see, the tobacco was hard on him.

“Virginians don’t belong in Maryland for the same reason Marylanders don’t belong in Virginia. When we meet, it should be in DC where everyone is the same kind of nasty: feds.”

THE YOLO COUNTY HERMIT
~Random Shite For All~

It's a brand new day, y'all. I like to make a To-Do list so that my day is productive. Here's today's list.

Look: #1 is already completed. I'll put up some random things for you, and then I'll work on #2 from my list.

"Inside each of us, there is the seed of both good and evil. It's a constant struggle as to which one will win. And one cannot exist without the other."

Eric Burdon

Nasty hair. Billy Gibbons and the blues. Eating the rich.

-The Yolo County Hermit-

A thought for today:

A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.

Cellos. Bobcat Goldthwait. My fashion sense.

So there's this. Fairly random, I think.

~Welcome to The Yolo County Hermit~

I blundered across this on image search. I'm not sure why it exists but it captures my fashion sense very well. Minus the tie, of course. I tossed those bastards away long ago. And minus some hair. Right up top there.

The Byrds. Winston Churchill. George Bernard Shaw.

The Yolo County Hermit

Random thought of the day:

Be prepared. Those millions of kids in scouting can't all be wrong.

The Byrds
"Lover of the Bayou"

The random song for today. Tom Petty did a nice cover of this, as he did with many of the Byrds' songs. I think he liked them.

Ray Charles. Coffee is for closers. Spousal Cartoonization.
